Summer Earn & Learn is a statewide program that provides work readiness training and paid work experience to students with disabilities, ages 14-22.
EMPLOYER PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas partnered with the Texas Vocational Rehabilitation Services to place 348 students in 2019. (Due to COVID-19, the program did not take place in 2020.) Employers were key to SEAL’s success; a total of 99 local employers participated in the program, providing 191 worksites, and 20 students were offered continued full-time employment with various employers throughout the board area.
