2023 Up Close - The Intersection of Music and Sports

The Intersection of Music and Sports

Governor Greg Abbott announced last month that the City of Frisco has earned the official state designation of ‘Music Friendly Texas Certified.’ The status is granted through the Texas Music Office, which was created to foster music business-related economic development and job creation. The timing couldn’t be better, with Dolly, Garth, and their talented friends scheduled to arrive next month for the Academy of Country Music Awards at The Star in Frisco. They may as well stay in town because just two weeks later, the most historic major championship in senior men’s golf will take place at PGA Frisco.

The spotlight is clearly on our city and keeps getting brighter!

We have assembled a panel of experts to discuss how businesses can leverage the excitement of all these accolades and major wins. They will also give you the inside track on some of the ACM preps and ramp-up events, and of course, we will have live music!
