First United Bank Juneteenth Celebration

The Inclusion and Diversity team is excited to present our first companywide Juneteenth celebration on Friday, June 17. Just ahead of observing the federal holiday on Monday, June 20, we are offering opportunities to spend time learning more about Juneteenth and be inspired to continue to make positive change in our communities.

The Inclusion and Diversity Team, along with the Dallas Market, will be hosting and live streaming Fox and Rob Rich, A New Orleans couple who endured 21 years as an incarcerated family and whose story is told in the acclaimed Academy Award-nominated documentary TIME.

Our desire is to invite all community banks and their communities to participate. The live stream event is scheduled to go from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Lunch is being served by Earnest B’s BBQ from Frisco in our main entrance area starting at 11am. Earnest Morgan won Frisco Citizen of the year 2021. Please read his story below.

We will have the program WebEX in the community room, COE Board room, and 2nd floor board room and lobby TV. You will have the opportunity to come downstairs to grab lunch, mingle in the lobby and choose where you would like to watch the program.

Multiple drawings throughout the program. (Do not need to be present to win.)

Please feel free to share with customers, partners and our community. Everyone is invited and we are looking forward to a BIG turnout.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
